We’re getting married!
And we just can’t wait to celebrate with you!
In the 10 years that we have known and loved each other we have said ‘yes’ to life together countless times. Over 5 years ago, we found our way back to each other and said an indefinite ‘yes’ to dating again. 4 years ago we said ‘yes’ to making a home together, starting a business and 2.5 years ago we moved to London.
We are so excited to celebrate this latest exciting ‘yes’ in a lifetime of ‘yeses’ to each other, and so thrilled that you’ll be there with us!
AUTHENTIC & INTENTIONAL WEDDING CELEBRATIONS ONLY WE COULD HAVE
This isn’t your stock standard traditional wedding. Each of our weddings have been planned ‘our way’ and are as authentically us as possible. We try to live our days always looking for the good, and taking care to intentionally create and build a life that reflects our values of kindness, joy, sincerity and gratitude. And that’s how we’ve planned our weddings.
WELCOMING, relaxed, COMMUNITY-BASED, D.I.Y EVENTS
We can’t help it - we do love to host! We love inviting people into our lives and we love them fiercely! So when it came to planning our weddings, we created events that took place in our garden, our local pub, a victorian guest house and a beautiful backyard. We’ve hired very few service providers, doing most of it ourselves with friends and family pitching in and getting involved. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. We really hope that throughout the day you feel comfortable, welcomed, loved and appreciated.
MARRIAGE IS A PRETTY BIG DEAL TO US
We’re doing the legal stuff at a very small & intimate ceremony at our local town hall on the 25th July 2019. But if we’re being honest, getting to commit to each other in front of the people we love the most is far more special and important. So yes, there will be a full ceremony at each of our weddings with all the things you’d expect, like vows & ring exchanges! But as you’ve probably guessed by now - the rest will be way less traditional filled with plenty of personal moments, where we really get to honour our relationship and make some pretty committed promises to each other. Oh, and our friends will be officiating! Best.
SPENDING TIME WITH OUR PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD
Uh, yes. You’ve heard right. We’re doing three weddings. Our new home in London, Durban where we both grew up, and Georgia with Micaela’s host family. We’re basically going on tour! We felt that we had so many lovely humans and lovely communities around the world, that we wanted to spend time with everyone - so why not have three weddings! All our weddings have been stripped back of typical formalities, so that we can truly spend quality time with every single person who attends. You’re all so important to us and we can’t wait to share our days with you.
